Who this is for
Managers with permission to manage employees use Employees in the Manager menu: All Employees, Org Chart, and Analytics. Employees update their own record from Self, then My Profile. Finish company setup first so department, designation, location, and role already exist.
Add one person
- Employees, then All Employees, then New.
- Basic Info — first name, last name, email, gender, employee ID, date of birth, and joining date. Turn on Allow Login and set a Password if they should sign in now. Otherwise use Invite, below.
- Photo — optional.
- Company Relations — department, location, designation, who they report to, whether they are a manager, their role, and Visibility (Manager, Department, Location, or Company).
- Choose Create.
The form says the rest is added after this: contact and address, emergency contacts, employment type dates, bank details, and custom fields.
Invite, import, and export
On All Employees:
- Invite, then Send Invite — they get mail and set their own password.
- Import — Upload, Map columns, Org units, Review, Results. Use this for a spreadsheet of many people.
- Export opens Export Employees, then Download.
Filter the list with Status (All, Active, Inactive) and Department. Columns include Employee ID, Name, Department, Designation, Last Absent, and Work Duration. Edit and Delete are on the row.
Edit the profile
Open the person. The edit screen tabs are Basic Info, Company Relations, Contact Info, plus any custom field groups you created. On Company Relations you will also see roles, employment type dates, and status.
Employment Type is Permanent, On Contract, Internship, or Trainee. Choose Update when you save a tab.
The full profile (not the edit form) groups the rest of their history:
- Profile — About, Appreciations, Assets, Increments
- Time — Attendance, Leave, Shifts
- Pay — Payroll
- Work — Expenses, Performance, Training
- People ops — Lifecycle, Journeys, Documents, Letters, Policies, Biometric
You only see a section when your role can open that module.
Org chart
Employees, then Org Chart. The page is Organisation Chart. Search by name, or filter Location, Department, and Designation. Expand and Collapse open the tree. Zoom if the company is wide.
To change who reports to whom, choose Move, drag the person, then Done moving. The side panel shows designation, department, location, and email, with Edit and Visit profile.
Workforce Mix
Employees, then Analytics. The title is Workforce Mix. It counts active people: women, men, and unspecified gender, the largest department, employment mix, and the largest location when you have more than one.
Charts cover gender, department, location, and tenure. Headcount Mix tables repeat those dimensions with a headcount and a percent of active employees. Export CSV downloads the tables. If nobody is active yet, the page says No active employees.
