Three pieces
Letters are for offer letters, appointment letters, relieving letters, and anything else you send on letter head. The menu is Letters: Generate and Template. The page furniture is Settings, then Letter Head. Employees do not generate letters. A finished letter can show under their My Documents, filtered to Letters.
Sample wording for India is on the blog, not inside the product: offer letter, appointment letter, relieving letter, and experience letter.
Letter head
Settings, then Letter Head. The screen is Letter Head Settings (In pixel). Set the margins so your logo and address sit in the right place, then Save. Company name, logo, and address come from Company settings, so fix those before you judge the preview.
Templates
Letters, then Template. Create the wording you will reuse: an offer, an appointment, a warning, a relieving letter. New, Edit, and Delete are on the list. A template is not yet a letter for a named person. That is the next step.
Generate, print, download
- Letters, then Generate, then New.
- Pick the template and the employee. The screen is Create.
- Save. From the list or the preview, Print or Download.
Edit opens Update if the wording for that person needs a change. Delete removes a letter you generated by mistake. Generating a letter does not by itself email the employee or move a job application to Selected. Send it the way you usually send HR letters, and keep the file in Documents if the whole team should be able to find it later.
